Dr. Dev and his wife Shanta live in a village, as Dev realizes the need for medical facilities in rural areas. But Shanta is not happy with the placidity of village life. Ultimately, Dr Dev decides to accept a job in the city and abandon his ideal. But in the meantime, an accident takes place and Shanta realizes the importance of her husband's presence in the village.
