Overview

Archival footage of a COUM Transmissions action originally commissioned by the Royal College of Art with the intention of sharing COUM's performance strategies and the group's themes with students at the university. The video features the hallmark of COUM's thematic arsenal, a gory spectacle: Genesis P-Orridge ritualistically fondles h/erself until s/he ejaculates into a half-filled jug of milk, which s/he then drinks; and Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson reluctantly cuts and sews into his flesh, a timid approach to pain and self-modification.
